Acoustic Loose Lay has been tried and tested in a new High-Rise development on the Gold Coast. The test has been done one a new 200mm concrete slab, measuring the impact sound of a hammer continuously hitting the acoustic loose lay and achieving a peaceful 58 dB impact sound result recorded on the floor below the test.
The test has been done with no acoustic panel under the concrete slab, and no acoustic airlock. The minimum requirement by the building Code of Australia is 62dB – and the lower the number is the better. The test result is 58 dB – which is a successful pass by a massive 4dB!
